Summer outdoor sketching sessions will be held once every two weeks this year. If you would
like to take part, you can email Ron at art123@mymts.net or phone 204-253-5157 to sign up for
whichever session/s you wish. Please leave your name and email or phone number in case you
need to be notified of the cancellation of your session/s. No session will take place unless there is
at least one confirmed participant. There is no fee required for most summer sketching sessions.
Most sessions run from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Sessions
1. Tuesday, July 12: Chinese Cultural Center; 180 King Street
This site includes unique architectural subjects as well as a beautiful garden.

2. Tuesday, July 26: Ron and Valerie’s Home; 22 Southfields Drive
This home backs onto a lake so there are lots of ducks, geese (and their little
ones), scenic vistas, gardens and more to draw. You may bring munchies
and a favorite drink if you like and stay to visit into the evening.

3. Tuesday, August 9: Benson Park; 226 Cockburn Street North (corner of
McMillan and Cockburn across from Bar Italia on Corydon). This is an
excellent site for some interesting urban landscape sketching.

4. Tuesday, August 23: Fort Whyte Centre; 1961 McCreary Road
(This session will begin at 3:00 pm and end at 5:00 pm because the center
closes at 5:00 pm. As well, Fort Whyte Centre charges an admission fee of
$7.00 per adult). This site offers wonderful nature scenes and wildlife
subjects.
